Connections Book Study
Following 9:00 am worship: “Focus on the Family - Truth Project” The Truth Project is a DVD-based curriculum comprised of 12 topics taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life. Dennis Nawrocki will facilitate this series. We will meet in Jonas and Chris’ office. Right now this is our only connections class; therefore there is no KIDZ Ministry during this time. If you have kids and want to be apart of this class, you are more than welcome to have someone watch them in the area setup up in the fireside room for kids. All of the other class rooms will be used by the Ethiopian Church during our connections time and their service time. The area set up in the fireside is a great family friendly area to hang out with some kids.

Women’s Ministry

It’s almost that time of year again: the time when parents & kids everywhere begin shopping for SCHOOL SUPPLIES! This year we again want to partner with our neighborhood school, Tollgate Elementary, & shower the teachers with the supplies to distribute to the kids in need. They are especially requesting COPY PAPER, but could also use new & gently-used backpacks, as well as the usual pencils, crayons, scissors, paste, tissues, etc. So pick up some extras when you shop with your kids & drop them (the purchases, not the children!) off at the collection site in the hall during July. Remember, too, that we will be doing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child again this winter, & school supplies go great in those packages. Stockpile during the sales & remember those who are less fortunate.

Prayer Chain

If you would like receive updates and requests from our church family, fill out a communication card with your name and email address and put it in the offering plate. If you have a prayer request that you would like the AAC church family to pray for, email your request to prayer@auroraalliance.com

YOU are Invited! KIDZ Ministry will be going the Cherry Creek Nursing Home Sunday August 1st. KIDZ Ministry is collecting school supplies for the Food Pantry. We are collecting these supplies to put into packs to hand-out from our Food Pantry: Pencils, lose paper, notebook, scissor, glue, crayons/markers/colored pencil, ruler. Collection bins are in KIDZ Court and KIDZ Place classrooms. We will be collecting them through the end of August.

End of the summer events: The last two sundays of August will be special events for our KIDZ Ministry kids. We will be holding our annual drive in theater. Start planning and getting creative to build your car out of a box. We will also be having a graduation celebration!

It's hard to believe, but KIDZ Ministry new school year will be starting in less then 2 months. We are looking for people who love God and love kids be teachers once a month in the Preschool class and in the K-5th class. If you are interested in being a teacher this fall please talk to Bekah (bekah@auroraalliance.com or 720-278-1473)

Student Ministries

Please be praying for our students and leaders as they are currently on the backpacking trip.

Every morning you wake up and go to work. Why? You go because you want something. Maybe you want to please your boss. Maybe you want to make a difference in the world. Maybe you just want a paycheck. No matter what your motivation, it is driven by some kind of desire. Desire is what makes the world go around. So often we come to church and feel guilty about our desire. We try to make up for having desire or find ways to set our desires aside. But what if we looked at faith in a whole new way? What if desire was actually the beginning of a much better life in Christ?--Excerpt from the new series “Wanted” on Tuesday evenings.

July 31 is Heaven Fest! It is a giant Christian music festival in Denver. Listen in youth group for more details!
